10th International HEPPA-SOLARIS Meeting, Dunedin, New Zealand, 11-15 January 2027
The 10th International HEPPA-SOLARIS Meeting will be held from 11–15 January 2027 at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. The HEPPA-SOLARIS meeting focuses on updating knowledge exchange and discussions on observational and modelling studies of sources, variability and impacts of solar radiation and energetic particle precipitation on the atmosphere and climate. Sessions will include topics on Space weather links Solar Irradiance and Particle Variability Magnetospheric-ionospheric-atmospheric coupling Stratosphere/mesosphere/thermosphere response and coupling of atmospheric layers Climate response / Earth Radiation

In Memoriam Eugene Rozanov
We are very sad to hear of the passing of Dr. Eugene Rozanov. Eugene was a long-standing and active member of the SPARC scientific community. His work was particularly important to SPARC activities on chemistry-climate modelling, solar influences on the atmosphere and climate, and energetic particle precipitation. He contributed to the SPARC CCMVal/CCMI activities with the SOCOL chemistry-climate model and was actively involved in SOLARIS-HEPPA. We will remember Eugene as an accomplished scientist, a dedicated contributor to the SPARC community,

In Memoriam Venkatachalam “Ram” Ramaswamy
We are very sad to hear of the passing of Dr Venkatachalam “Ram” Ramaswamy. Ram served on the Joint Scientific Committee of the World Climate Research Program and for several years as part of APARC (formally SPARC). Since 1992 he has been a Lead Author or Coordinating Lead Author for each of the IPCC’s assessment reports. He was a three-time recipient of the WMO Norbert-Gerbier MUMM International Award from the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) which he received as a co-author of
